Berlin: Die Sinfonie der Großstadt is a silent 1927 German film directed by Walter Ruttmann, and co-written by Carl Mayer and Karl Freund. It just so happens that both of these remarkable 20th century pieces line up together perfectly; Ruttmann’s film is 12 seconds longer than Music With Changing Parts, which is why there is a 12 second delay at the beginning.
